A Modern Guide to Building a Terrarium

Materials:– Clear glass vessel– Stones or gravel– Activated charcoal– Orchid bark– Sphagnum moss– Potting soil– Tools

 1. Prepare the Base Layer: Add 1–2 cm stones. 

2. Purify With Charcoal: Add thin charcoal layer.

 3. Add Structure With Bark: Light scattering of bark. 

4. Moisture Barrier: Add thin layer of sphagnum moss- keep some for finishing off your terrarium

5. Build the Soil Layer: Add 3–5 cm soil.

 6. Position Plants: Minimal and intentional spacing. 

7. Finish Surface: Add stones, moss and bark to create an interesting texture that wows.

8. Water With Intention: Mist lightly. 

9. Place and Enjoy: Bright, indirect light
